While I was gone today someone vandalized my drive way and broke 4-5 decoritve bricks I had. I think they might have also stolen items that where to be delivered today (though they could also be late). Since I have no idea of who did this can I still file a police report?

yes you can.
you should call the deliver people...UPS FED EX...or try talking to your local post man.....that delivers your mail if sent ground, and ask i he delievered any packages today to your house.

If he says yes...there you go.

Filing a report is good...since it could be a string of vandals through the neighborhood...and your report could show that if thats what it turns out to be.

If you suspect that a crime was performed, yes, you can file a police report. Although the police might not have much evidence to go on in your case, if another similar situation happens with someone else, they'll have your case on file and that may help them to detect the beginnings of a pattern of vandalism that could result in a future arrest.

You should contact your PD to confirm all of this.

I would file a police report to cover yourself. If the packages don't show up, you'll want some sort of documentation if you try and get the company or insurance to cover the cost of the items.

YES
filing the report has nothing to do with knowing who did it.
your insurance will not pay if you have not filed a police report
you need to check with your delivery people before you add theft charges to the vandalism.

File a report of the vandalism and theft so that the policemen will conduct an investigation.

Whether you know who did it or not, file a police report. Just provide as much details as you know to facilitate their investigation.

I would call your local police departments non-emergency line and ask. They can tell you what to do.
