Of course I am! Even for the bad, which gives us all lessons! I am grateful for every single day and every single person who crosses my path. I hope in being grateful I pass along some kind of energy to give folks a better day. I actually do think of that as my day wears on. Hope you do too!

I’m grateful and give thanks for all the blessing I have received through out my life.

I made some mistakes while growing up but I’m most thankful that I learned by my mistakes and I also forgave my self for those mistakes

I guess in one sense of the word I am grateful for everything that has happened to me. I have learned the hard way not to trust people like I use to. I do help and share with folks more so now than I did in the past. I have learned a lot of lessons in life.

Indeed I am. I was born in the finest nation on earth and a few years later many of my relatives in my ancestral homeland died at the hands of the Nazis. Not only Jews died in the Holocaust. So did some Evangelical Lutherans. I was given the opportunity to serve in the U.S. Navy where I was exposed to people and lands that my childhood friends could only dream about. I was blessed to meet a wonderful woman and humbled that she chose to marry me and enrich my life and my world with four children.
There's an old story about someone looking at a glass of water. The optimist says the glass is half full. The pessimist says it's half empty. I'm grateful for the glass because it contains the sweet nectar of freedom.

I'm very grateful. Life has been exceedingly good. Of course there are bad things that happen but it's more than likely for the best. It helps to have had the best parents in the world. It helps to have been raised in the mountains. It helps to have been given teaching from good, high standing folk. It helps to be a believer of The Creator. Life is good.

EDIT -- "Y?" You're going to have to start sharing more about yourself too. I love your questions.

I am grateful for all the beautiful things in my life, and the lessons I have learned were hard but I am grateful for them too even though I have had to wrestle with God on those a few times!lol! I am grateful for all that God provides for me, for the opportunity to help others, bring a smile to someone face, get a smile in return, to love and be loved in return and for waking up every morning, and being able to see, walk, talk, etc. I am grateful for the opportunity to experience life with all it's goodness and all it's strife. Ya..when I really stop and think about it I am bery grateful!! Good question!

Yes, very grateful did not want much but ended up with so much. We retired with a nice retirement, still young enough to enjoy it. We are not sixty yet. It looks like all my children and their spouse will be here for Christmas with our grandchildren and great grandchildren. Everyone is working or in school. Everyone life seems to be on track.
What could be better than that. I am very happy Also am
almost done with my shopping.

I imagine not one answerer on here so far is in their 80's -the longer you live the more trials come into your life and I was not always grateful at the time, especially before I gave my life to Jesus.

As I got into the bible and teaching it for 3 decades, I learned that giving the trial over to God AND TRUSTING him (without faith you can't please Him,He tells us)-He brought good from the so called bad things and in that regard, yes I am grateful for all He allowed, even becoming suicidal over the trials and out of that came my crying out to Him in faith believing His Son died that I might live eternally with Him in praise and worship forever.

Yes, I have to say that I am grateful for ALL that has happened to me in my life. Not proud of... And if I had it to do again there is a lot that I would change but everything that has happened to me has made me who and what I am today. It has equipped me in a unique way to bring comfort, solace and help to people at a critical crossroads in their lives. It enables me to do the job that God has led me to do at this stage of my life.

As my bio says I wake up each morning asking the Lord "What adventure are you going to take me on today?"
