An additive inverse means the number you add to it to get zero. In other words, the negative of it. So the additive inverse of 6 is -6, and the additive inverse of -12 is 12.

-12 = | -12 | = 12 when ever u wanna find the additive inverse of a no. say 'x' just put it in this form | x | then its additive inverse will be -x
