It looks like Oregon uses an income share model, which means both of your incomes will be part of the calculation, how many overnights each parent has may be a factor, as well as expenses such as health insurance premiums and daycare. You can use the online calculator in the link below but please know that online calculators are not always accurate. Your attorney will compute the child support once they have all the necessary information on income and qualifying expenses, his attorney will do the same and they may have to negotiate a little if they come up with different numbers.

Type in child support guidelines for Oregon. It is not a binding number, but it is fairly close. It will give you a calculator that fills in for the income each of you bring in, the monthly amount for health insurance and also any childcare that may be necessary. Good luck!

Child support sheets leave fathers destitute and family courts are largely prejudiced, aimed at harming the family thru hurting fathers and families. Many fathers end up in jail because they cannot comply with the unfair demands that are put upon them. Good, decent fathers are labeled as deadbeat dads.

If you know that the father could not afford the payment, then you're a fool to ask for it. You are only screwing yourself in the end. Your kids will end up hating you for putting the Dad thru hell. Courts don't even take into account that a father who is low income cannot afford to give up 40% of his income, or in my case they asked for 75% of my NET income, which left me HOMELESS!

Did the judge or lawyers care? NO. Bastards.

Most family courts have a work sheet that is filled out, it figures the income and expenses for both parents and then the amount of support is based on a percentage, your best bet is to talk to your lawyer.

There's no standard rate. It's all formula based, but you should be able to get a worksheet that will help you estimate the monthly payments. Then again, the judge can award more or less than that at his discretion.

...and hope he doesn't disappear or lose his job.......
By the way, using language such as "How much do I get?" really turns judges off! It is CHILD support and that money is to go to the child, not YOU!
