im 18 years old.. when it gets cold my knees, ankles, and all the joints in my hands swell.. its so uncomfortable i cant move.. am i too young for this to be happening. i played varsity tennis and highschool. very competitve and strenous.. but it never used to.. only recently have i not been able to move.

Wow. I have the same exact problem as you. I can't stay in an air-conditioned room for too long or else my joints will swell, and it gets a bit painful to move. I'm not quite sure why that happens. Definitely check up with a doctor to see what the problem is-- I know I have to do the same as well sometime soon. I think it might be premature arthritis..

It sounds like rheumatoid arthritis to me. You should go consult a doctor for advice.

It can happen early when you are active. Take ibuprofen and do to the doctor. That is the only way to be sure it's nothing serious.

Do your hands turn colors like blue or white? Check out Raynauds syndrome. I think I spelled it right.
