Right now, Intel is ahead on the technology race with their Core 2 Duo lineup of processors. They're faster than the AMD equivalents. The advantage to AMD, though, is that they tend to cost a noticeable amount less. Until recently, AMD had the better gaming processors, but as I've said the Core 2s have dethroned them in that aspect. These processors are both very good for multitasking (at least the dual-core ones).

Intel is better efficient as an all rounder. especially their extreme end processors. although AMD's modern-day dragon platform amd proc, amd motherboard chipset and amd gpu, has some exceedingly effective benchies (benchmarks on pastime). fee has continuously been the figuring out component for the acquisition of an AMD product. My vote nonetheless is going to Intel on the end of the day. center i7 remains the perfect winner in words of performance.

Both of them, are rather the same... Going for intel you're paying for the name pretty much.
The quality of the processors also come into question Intel's being more reliable and longer lasting than AMD's in my opinion.
