No I really don't.

Why?

As long as there are too many differing religions, too much power and wealth to gain, and so many different types of government, there will never be world peace. There is way too much to go to war for/over to have peace. Though I do wish all the differences would be settled and peace would be possible. But my rational side says it will never happen.

Differences in every individual which is innate in us is somewhat a barrier that stops us from attaining peace. Each one of us has personal desires and cravings which may be quite an opposite to the other. Even the President considered as the BEST is not an exemption to this. The thing is, the word PEACE nowadays is just a word made for the hopefuls to continue to hope, but actually peace in its SUPERFICIAL sense is unattainable! We might ask, where then can we find peace? maybe the answer lies in our meaning of peace. Peace is not just seeing people in harmony, living without war and chaos. Peace has a more deeper meaning. Peace stays in our heart. If each one of us learn to seek PEACE in the deftness of human desires and intentions this MIGHT be the avenue to the PEACE that each one of us dreamed of. But this is not certain for no matter what we do to achieve it, it is still subject to the will of the Transcendent Being. For our will and actions are just part of what we call Becoming. We continue to unfold as we experienced the diversity of our haven. It is HE who has the final say.

It happens in my world...

Peace comes from within.

You don't get it from war and you don't get it from a lack of war either...

Peace is something personal that is created by and harbored by it's owner.

Peace is an action more than it is a concept. Furthermore, just because there is World Hate, does not mean that World Peace does not exist in all the same places.

Well, I wouldn't say that we are close to world peace, but at least we are on the right track. Just look at the progress of man....while, yes it's true that we constantly war and bicker, but at least we are learning from our mistakes and are now trying to stop them from happening again. We formed the "League of Nations" (1919–1920) to help prevent war, and then again we formed the "United Nations" (1945-Present) to intervene in conflicts and thereby avoid war.
So the way I see it, mankind has a bright future ahead of himself, and World Peace is just another trail to show him the way.....

Not as long, US interfering in others affairs and their way of
lives!

The same as i always say.
Review the history book and see it for yourself that, how US had/have been manipulating, over throwing other Gov.'s in the last past decades for its own benefit and survival!

It's unbelievable how US have been carrying out all these unjust and unfair acts and still executing the same old policies!!

US had/have been supporting almost every dictator in the past and when no more use, gotten rid off them!! HA!

Saddam, Shah of Iran, Pinosheh,......rings a bell!!

There's no way, world be in balance with these kinds of acts!

NO frickin WAY!

Of course it is possible, but be will have to have our hearts touched by God's or witness something so horrific that we can't conceive of taking another life for no good reason. We have witnessed Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Sarajevo, Darfur, and we have turned the "Cradle of Civilization" to a pile of rubble and have not seen anything up until now to wisen us. I hope we will. Teach PEACE! Jesus did!

Never is it attainable. Human nature is fundamentally flawed. People always want more....Greed is sometimes good, but also bad. Nothing we can do will change that.
