(3x-1)=(7x+13)
x=?
7x-3x+13+1
= 4x+14
=4x/4 +14/4
x=14/4 (reduce 2 lowest term
x= 14/2 and 4/2
x=7/2

Probably there are two answers
First answer:
3x-1 = -(7x+13)
3x-1 = -7x -13
10x = -12
x = -12/10 = 6/5 = -1.2
Second answer:
3x-1 = 7x+13
-14 = 4x
x = -14/4 = -3.5

3x-1=7x+13
-4x-1=13
-4x=14
x=-7/2
Check:
[3(-7/2)-1]=
[7(-7/2)+13]
-21/2-2/2=
-49/2+26/2
-23/2=-23/2

First, subtract 3x from both sides to get:
-1 = 4x + 13
Then subtract 13 from both sides to get:
-14 = 4x
Then divide both sides by 4 to get:
-14/4 = x (simplified: -7/2 = x)

substract 3x on both sides
it should give you
-1=4x+13
now substrat 13 on both sides
-14=4x
now divide by 4
-14/4=4x/4
it should bring you this
x=-14/4 = -7/2 =-3.5
x=-3.5
(-)+(-)=+
(-)+(+)=-
(+)+(-)=-
(+)+(+)=+
