I am a student who worked full time in the summer time but now that im in school i dont have to work anymore. Well when working i had a lot of taxes taken out of my paycheck and i was told that i can recieve some of that money back. Well january is close by and i am curious if their is anything that i need to do to get that money or will somebody send me some form?

your employer will send you a W-2 for the year, he/she should have them mailed out by Jan 31, 2008.
Visit IRS website: www.irs.gov, for forms and instructions on how to file a tax return.

Depending on how much you made and how much was withheld, you will very likely get some or all of the money back that was withheld for federal income tax. You'll need form 1040EZ - take a look, it's not hard and you should be able to do it easily when you get your W-2. You can download the form and instructions at irs.gov

you should receive a w-2 from your employer. you can wait for that and just use that info from the form when you fill out your tax form. since you're just a student with a summer job, i'm sure you can use the 1040ez, so that will be a breeze. you will more than likely receive a refund.
