There is this plastic string they sell at the craft store. It comes in all different colors and you make designs with it. I can do designs like chinese staircase, butterfly, squares, circles and a zipper. I want to learn some new ones, so whoever knows what I'm talking about please help me by sending me the instructions for some different ones.

i often do this a lot but what i have on my stick is kinda different i have a rolled nylon then weaved on that same diamond row a hockey lace then one diamond row directly below that is a weaved hockey lace. try verticle rails thats always fun to mess with. also a double inverted v with one v going normal way and the other pointing toward your shaft

I think you're talking about the *flat* plastic that comes in lengths for making lanyards, etc. It's often called "plastic lacing."
