Can anyone help me identify the source of this friction interaction? The question seems unclear to me...can anyone explain?
Q: A bicyclist quits peddaling and the bike slows down due to a friction interaction. (Don't think about the drag interaction). Then it says Friction is occuring between the rubbing parts in the wheels...
If so, what would the source of the interaction be and the reciever?
Thanks!

There is friction between the tires and the ground that is causing the bicycle to slow down. The source is just from the weight of the bicycle and biker - friction is usually calculated from the normal force of the object and the coefficient of friction, and normal force is found through the weight of the object. The direct receiver would then be the tires, since that's where the friction is.
