The people probably had a lot of sympathy. The Mullahs may or may not have.
Considering Arabs were responsible for 09.11, and that Iranians (Persians) have a long hatred for Arabs, my guess is that they were hoping we'd bomb the Saudi's.
They didn't (far from it) get what they wanted.
Yeah, yeah. . . . YEAH. Give me thumbs down. As many as you can. It will only prove that you have NO idea the difference between Arabs and Iranians.

very probable. 9/11, 2001, 5 Israeli adult males intentionally wearing Arabic clothing have been caught celebrating the assaults. After being caught by using the police, the Israelis claimed it became their job to be there (in boost from Israel) to cite "document the form" unquote. They even went directly to declare the comparable factor that Benjamin Netanyahu could repeat 4 years in a while 07/07/05 after the London bombings-- that the assaults on usa and London, have been "stable" because of the fact "It generates sympathy for Israel"

If I am not mistaking, Iran expressed some sympathy for the American people. Iran wasn't obligated to do so, though, and indeed, Iraq didn't express any sympathy (which is logical, who expresses sympathy for those who elected those who bomb them?). One may also ask, how did Israel react when NATO's Jihad against Yugoslavia happened. Well, Ariel Sharon condemned the Jihad, and I appreciate him very much for that, but many other Israeli politicians reacted it a disgracefull manner...

Believe it or not the people of Iran ( and thats what really counts in the longrun) held a candlelight vigil in sympathy to America and its people and what happened that terrible day.

It depends who you ask. Reaction within the media was mixed, with the usual assortment of crackpot Zionist conspiracy theories and anti-American rhetoric. The Iranian media is largely devoid of intelligent, independent journalism, so that shouldn't be surprising.
The truly educated circles largely condemned the attack, at least at first.

If you would use your brain like you use the "thumbs down", you would know that.

I worked in a town were there were, I'll say people from that country that owned many convenient stores, MANY people said they were laughing and jumping up and down for joy when 911 happened. These stores are rarely frequented now days., how they stay open is beyond me. All the more reason we need to " remove " the menace before they come after us in our OWN streets.
