... what song would it be, who would perform it, what genre would it be and why?

I'd like Sisters of Mercy [gothic rock] to do a twist on "Blood" by Babes in Toyland [punk/grunge/riot grrl]. It'd be an /interesting/ contrast from the original.

Hopefully this is clear enough..

You?

I'd like to hear Epic by Faith No More performed by an orchestra. There's so much going on in the mix of that song and I'm sure it would sound great. Not sure who could sing it though... Robbie? Red Hot Chillies bloke? (Anthony Kiedis, I do know really!) Me?

I'd like to hear Ziggy Marley do a twist on The Eagles "Hotel California" - it's got the right beat to do to a Reggae song.

Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls covered by The Misfits (Original Lineup) I just think that would be so different, it could be really cool.

Crossroads by Robert Johnson covered by the original Ramones. Need I say more?

I'd like to hear Dinosaur Jr's 'Freak Scene' covered by Nat King Cole,

Pavement's 'We Are Underused' covered by Carter USM,

Kingmaker's 'High As A Kite' covered by Will Young

but most of all, I'd love to hear

Frankie Goes To Hollywood's 'Welcome To The Pleasuredome' covered by George Formby!!

I'm really not that big of a Marilyn Manson fan, but I would love to here him do a cover of Concrete Blonde's "Tomorrow Wendy" (though it is a cover itself really). Would be right up his alley, but it could go either great or really crappy. I like his covers better then a lot of his own work, but his cover of "Tainted Love" really bite the big one and was very uninspired.
