School "opened A LOT of doors" for me. BUT that's all school does - open the doors. It was up to me to push those doors open, walk through and prove my worth.

MY personal opinion: It doesn't matter what school it is (((although degrees and/or designations from the better schools and universities seem to carry more weight.))), people want to see that diploma.

When I was a small child my parents and grand parents told us, "Mark my words: THE DAY will come when you will say, 'You wish you were back in school.' And you know what? They were absolutely right! I haven't said it one time - I said it lots of times!

Do yourself THE HUGEST favor: Go to school AND STAY IN school.

Thanks for asking your Q!

VTY,
Ron

Before you take over a trade business would you be able to perform all the functions without schooling or advanced education? Would you be conversant enough to explore leads, develop business, quote contracts, hire and pay help ? Would you be talented enough to match or excel in job performance against competitors? I think if you are looking to retire at 50, and can legitimately say "Yes" to the above questions, Give it your Best Shot.!!

School is worth it. I have a very good job because I went to college got a degreeand then I earned a Masters. The masters was paid for by one of the companies that I used to work for. Find something you like to do and do it well.

I'm not as concerned with money as I should be. It's unfortunate because I'll probably always be poor, but education is worth it for me because I love it.
