Which would have the greatest kinetic energy? Me (mass = 75 kg) about to hit the ground after falling 80 meters or an average bullet (mass = 8 g) traveling 1000 m/s?

There are several steps you need to complete before calculating the KE of both objects. You must find the velocity for me just before I hit the ground and you must convert the mass of the bullet from grams to kilograms.

I know I asked this before...but im still confused about it...

The easiest way to calculate the heavy one's energy is to recognize that it came from work done by gravity so the energy is 75 Kg force times 80 meters.

The bullet: KE = (1/2) mV^2
