Why do they get to sleep? I don't and my job isn't nearly as important. If they get paid that ridiculous salary and have free retirement for life and medical and secret service protection how come they get to go on vacation all the dam time? I'm not talking just about any one brance, I mean everyone in all 3 branches. So, what if they're professionals. Last time I checked, most professionals work a 12+ hour day at least once per week.
I want their pay cut or I want more work out of them. Anyone else think they're overpaid and underworked?

Yikes Bush apologists, I did specify that I meant EVERY branch of government. Your precious leader is set to go down as the vacation president so don't give me that bs that Bush works hard and Congress doesn't. Neither works hard but, the Executive especially doesn't work hard. Bush was at 418 vacation days in August, 2007. I have no idea what that number is up to now. He only has to hit 436 to set the all time record and surpass the number of off days of a man almost twice his age.

No one seems to care that the Judicial Branch has the same package and also gets to serve for life! Talk about job security.
