It is definitely not Ray and I have listened to the 30 second clip over and over and over and for the life of me I cannot pinpoint that voice. It is sooooooo familiar yet I can't come up with a name. All I can find out is that it is 14 hits from the european tour in Amsterdam...Live at the Paradiso which is was two disc cd released from that concert. The 14 album is a compilation made from that disc set as the original "Smokin Live at the paradiso is an import. I honestly tried to find out for you through other means but came up empty handed. It is going to drive me nuts now.

here is a link to the soundclip albeit a bad one but maybe someone can help

added. well, I was sure hoping Okie or Tex had come back to look at this and listen to that clip. I bet Okie can recognize that voice.

Should be Ray Charles

Edit: I listened to it and it is not Ray Price.
This is all I could find out about it.
Personnel: Willie Nelson (vocals); Jackie King, Jody Payne (guitar); Mickey Raphael (harmonica); Bee Spears (bass); Bob "Trigger" Nelson (piano); Paul English (drums); Billy English (percussion).

Recorded at Amsterdam's Paradiso, this set features a representative cross-section of the biggest successes of Willie Nelson's eclectic musical career, including American Songbook classics like "Georgia on My Mind" and "Blue Skies," outlaw country songs like "Pancho and Lefty" and "Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," and his own "On the Road Again" and "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain."

I,m thinking Jackie King or Jody Pane
