On my homework there's a question that says "The square root of any perfect square is a..." and there's two lines for two words, but I have no idea what the answer is, can you tell me?

There's another question that ask "The square root of any whole number that is not a perfect square is an" and again there's two spaces for two words. The answer is in my textbook but I left it at school so can someone please give me the answers?

Yes, it is rational but they are looking for
"Whole Number"

rational number and irrational number....if you are solving over the set of Real Numbers, which i guess you are...then you wont have any complex #'s or i's or anything stupid.
