I heard somewhere that it is illeagal to work mon-sun. is this true and, if you get fired for not working on the 7th day can you sue the company

Depends ENTIRELY on the law of your country and/or State, and you never told us where you are.

Some companies have different work schedules 6 days on 5 off --etc
Call your labor board before not your lawyer.

No federal law against it as long as you are paid required o.t. if applicable.

Companies can determine schedules including overtime.
