Hi. I am a first-grade teacher and I have a room parent who is always bringing in treats for the kids, buying supplies for our classroom, and helping with crafts. I know she is doing this because she values her daughter's education (and she realizes teacher don't have the funds to buy all this stuff themselves).

Last time she brought in treats, my students expressed a desire to get her a little gift because she is always helping us. I already had them make thank-you cards for her a few months ago. Does anyone have any great ideas of a little thank-you gift we could give her, maybe around Christmas time? (I know this isn't necessary -- I just think it's great that the students want to express their appreciation and I want to encourage that. It's not really appropriate for it to be an expensive gift, as the reason she is buying stuff for the classroom is that she knows I don't have the money to purchase it all. It would be great if the kids could make something.)

You could take a digital photo of of the class as a cover for a class booklet. Then allow each student to decorate "their" page in anyway they choose. You could then take a digital photo of each of the children to put on their page.

This would be inexpensive because the photos would just be a few cents each and the artwork wouldn't be expensive scrapbook materials but the school supplies the children use each day. This would be something she could look back on later and remember each child.

This will also be special for her daughter as she gets older to look back on her classmates in their first year together.

How about turning a class photo into a Christmas ornament? It would be a special reminder each year of her daughter's first grade class. Many craft stores sell small frames...some are already designed to be an ornament. Print off a digital photo of the class, maybe with some of their Christmas art in the background. You could also have each child sign his/her name on one sheet of paper, then shrink it down to use as the back of the ornament. Have a Merry Christmas!

What a nice and great idea./ A picture of the class with a note of appreciation will be fine and bring tears of joy.

Night out at the movies: Movie gift certificate (SCRIP or eSCRIP if your school participates) plus offer to babysit.
The kids could help decorate a gift bag to put it in.

first of all, i think of that's a captivating and delightful theory to grant the parents a thank you present. As for what to grant them, the clocks sound attractive and appropriate. in case you think of they are going to like the clocks, then provide up 2nd-guessing your self. in case you do no longer think of they are going to like them, that's the time to elect something else. there is likewise no longer something incorrect with giving them an identical ingredient see you later as you think of they are going to the two like it. in case you have already have been given the clocks, why no longer go forward and have them engraved with your wedding ceremony date and despite message you may wish to characteristic.
