How long does a Broadband Wireless Access Modem last?

This question is only for those who have a modem of this kind or know someone who does and can say if they last longer than a year, etc. or breakdown.
How long do these wireless modems (no phone jack needed) last? Do they have to be replaced often?

If by "Broadband Wireless Access Modem" you mean a cable modem / wireless router (from your cable company), at least 5 years, as a "Rule of Thumb".

If you mean a wireless router / switch or a wifi device installed in your PC (PCI, USB or PCMCIA, etc.), these are not the same, but they should also last for years.
