You think Santa is the only one who has a staff working year round?
I've got my people. Actually, many of my workers used to Santa's elves. My employees have a much better work life than Santa's. I give my people weekends, better pay, better benefits and a great retirement package.
I've got them working on a special egg holder for you, but I'm painting yours myself.

Are you asking because you really want to know? Or do you just want to make fun of the tradition? So Easter is a Christian holiday that celebrates when Christ rose from the dead. Now if you really want to know how the bunnies got mixed up in it, you have to NOT think like either an atheist or a religious fundamentalist. The story of Christ rising from the dead is about good triumphing over evil, about sacrifice and the renewal of life. Likewise, the coming of Spring is a metaphor for all of these things. Winter (when everything is dead) ends and Spring comes- a sort of rebirth. All the plants are born again, people are able to go outside and be healthy again. The entire cycle of nature starts over with Spring (the good) and dies with Winter (the evil), but we don't despair because Spring will always come again. Eggs, bunnies, flowers, colors- these are all things that celebrate spring (rebirth, renewal, good over evil). Now there wasn't a Winter where Christ originally came from- it's very hot in the winter in the Middle East. Very early Middle Eastern Christianity did not celebrate Easter the way we do today. But pre-Christian pagans in Europe used to celebrate the triumph of good over evil and the coming of Spring long before the Christian church came there. When the Christians came to Europe, the two holidays (the Pagan Spring holiday and the Christian celebration of Christ's resurrection) merged into Easter. This was easily done as symbolically they celebrate the same things anyway. The Easter bunny bringing gifts to children is a very recent development that was created by card companies and toy stores. But I think kids like it? By the way, i can't open your link. Is it very heavy with graphics? I tried but it took several minutes to load and I gave up.

The Easter Bunny dyes eggs all year. He does this because dying plastic eggs is much more difficult then one would think.
The real eggs do not get dyed until just before Easter. As you know Bunnies are capable of mass producing, so the Easter Bunny is never short of help.

Easter Bunny eggs die when they are laid.
Now there's a horrible thought.
Lets go to Australia where the Easter Bilby reigns.

idk.
They are probably layed by Mrs. Easter Bunny, already dyed.
Or maybe he has a magical nest that dyes them.
OR maybe he does start on Santa's work day!
