Sometimes I ask questions expecting different majority answers, sometimes I'm quite surprised. Most of the time my guess is right. Sometimes I'm actually surprised. Thanks all.

When the kids were little it would have been great. A normal 6 hour drive could take up to 9 hours with all the potty stops. Boys seem to want to initiate EVERY bathroom along the route. I swear, I have taken them to every single bathroom, in every shopping center, every grocery store, every restaurant that I ever took them too.
I was remodeling the bathroom and purchased a new toilet from Home Depot, the guy put it in the front seat, unfortunately I was not strong enough to get it out as the weight had pressed the seat down and it was caught on the frame of the door. I drove around for 7 days with the toilet in the front seat until my husband got home from his trip....and no, I didn't use it! Idid get several looks from other drivers though, I thought is was kind of funny.

Do you drive with your pants down? You'd still have to AT LEAST pull over is my guess. Then you have the whole idea of making sure you put curtains or something around the entire car so that you'd have privacy. The other big problem is what if people are in the car WITH you? I don't always drive around by myself. So here I am driving on a family vacation, for an example, and suddenly have the call of nature. Do you think I am going to want to get my pants down and relieve myself in front of everyone? The other big problem is what about guys that have to piss and don't do it sitting down. I can't very well stand in a car. You may say this isn't positive, but I call it constructive criticism. You are going to have to address the problems before you call it a solution. Sure the curtains wouldn't be a big deal, BUT you need to make sure people will be willing to pull over OR make sure the windshield doesn't have one. To the end of making sure they pull over you could have some motion detector involved that would prevent the device from working while the car is in motion.

Why not? It would be a "private" toilet, so if you got any thing you would be getting it from your self. Mom and dad has a portable toilet in their truck and I have used it myself a few times when there was no where else to go. It sure is better than going out in the woods some where, where you really might get something.

I'd buy it for the kids to use on long trips. Sometime it is raining or snowing and you can't pull over and be in the elements so it would be a good idea to have.
I would only use myself on a REAL emergency and hope it has a way to conceal the odor as I carpool with friends to work and would just die if word got around the neighborhood that i drive a "potty" van.

Sure would have come in handy when I was traveling all over the country with my children. Now I like to stop often. We usually go places in my friends car and she doesn't smoke. We stop for coffee, my cigarette breaks, and we like to eat often. Don't want to pass up any good restaurants!!
There is one long stretch of road between Needles, CA. and Barstow, CA. that only has one working rest area and it is close to Barstow. Sometimes you can be desperate for that bathroom long before you get there.

Sounds better than the cut off milk jug I'm using now. Hell, I'd use while watching Tv. It would be handy when sitting in the middle of a corner booth at a crowded restaurant, so I wouldn't have to ask three or four people to please let me out and back in again just as the waiter showed up with our polish sausage and brown gravy plates.

In an emergency. You better believe it. It might be a little hard to use and drive at the same time. And would someone use the last of the paper and not replace it? Lots of problems to work out.

Yes, my son was going to school at Sacramento State and his car broke.
We were not able to get the part for along
two weeks.
I lived in my van those two weeks it was football season and I was driving from Concord (De La Salle High School) for one son, to Sacramento State four to six times a day..
Not counting. Six other children going to school in another town.
Those two weeks I could have used a (Van/Car Toilet) and YES I would have used it.

Absolutely not. The last time I tried to go on a camping trip I ended up going all over myself. Nope sorry I require the whole seat, flush, the whole shebang. Thank you but I'll wait.

Yes, we have been stuck in traffic for hours at times and the highways are not getting any wider. They will make a fortune in about 5 years.
