sorry I thought I was on a listing for the chevy cobalt electronic poer assist. I am thinking of using this in my street rod and save myself the hyd pump and cylinder mess

Steering on what ?

On automotive steering you have the manual input from the driver , if power assist you have (most common) a hydraulic pressure input or electronic feed input.
