I think you will find the "saying" is that money can't buy you happiness. I do think money CAN help you be happy (er) because life without it sure isn't ever going to be a bundle of fun is it???

Wisdom would have us believe happiness come from within. From a sense of peace, inner contentment, self confidence, self acceptance, liking yourself, finding yourself enjoying what you do. Being with people you love and care about. Having "enough" of things without feeling driven to strive for more and more all the time. Doing what you enjoy. Leading an honest life upholding your own moral and ethical codes. If all else fails... Valium usually blocks out the misery for a few hours!!

Being physically, mentally and emotionally healthy. But why would not I be happy with money? Most people I know want to win lotteries, get a salary raise, hit the jackpot on TV contests etc. and they are not exactly poor or sad or confused!

Only you can make yourself happy. It is your state of mind. It is definately possible have everything and be miserable, but you can have everything and be happy too! (Same with having nothing!) So I conclude that it is only you who can determine how you deal with the outside world and your inner demons and make the best of it.
