Think about how you have to learn cooperation when there is only one room for toileting and bathing for multiple people.

Has there ever been a study on whether people from single bathroom houses learn better cooperation as adults?

Depending on the personalities; if they are generally very tolerant, it will help them get along better. If they are not so very tolerant, it'll only cause friction and generally the opposite of what you're trying to achieve.

When I was living at home it was very simple; the bathroom was my territory, because I used it most.

No. I have 6 siblings and we only had 1 bathroom. I remember screaming every morning before school at my brother who thought he should be able to shower for 20 minutes. It was nuts. We all remember it. Dad finally put a bathroom upstairs in the house. It made our taxes go up, but we were a lot happier.
