What rules? And being nice all depends upon the person. I have no need to be nice to whiners, complainers, the selfish and materialistic, bullies.

I don't think you have to be 'nice' per se, in a cutesy and overly sweet sort of way, but that also doesn't infer that it's alright to be cruel on purpose and without provocation just to upset a total stranger who has done nothing to you because you are able to do so. If that were the case then I'd be allowed to go about breaking everyone's neck, including yours, just coz I was a bit aggravated that day.

I'm not nice to people because it's a rule. I beleive in kharma.
I'm nice to people because it feels better inside than being nasty. It's completely up to you as to what you do. You are under no obligation to follow any of those dumb rules.

ITA...FORGET the RULES....
Just a little tip. I would at least always be nice to any restaurant servers that may be bringing your food out from the kitchen. Or that could really make you sick to your stomach....

It doesn't. It's just that you will reap what you sow. If you are rude, rude people will be attracted to you. If you lie, then the people you need to trust will be liars too. The choice is not what you give, it's what you want to receive. And you can't fake it either, so just do what you want and reap the rewards.

You don`t have to be nice to people. Believe it or not you do it because you want to. You can try to be mean but that cute little Santa hat tells a different story.

There are no "rules" that say you must be nice to others. It is simply a choice. I choose to treat others as I wish to be treated: NICE.
