How to rip a DVD into computer to be about 700mb?

Question

I have DVDfab. i want to rip the main movie only. and the finished result to be about 700mb in avi. format. i want it only on my hardrive.

For example.. i used DVDfab and ripped a movie into my computer, but the result was about 4 vob. files and the size was about 4gigs.

so how can i get these 4 vob. files into ONE big file. and how can i get it to 700mb. i do not want to burn anything on a disc, i just want it on my hardrive

Whatever software you use, the .VOBs from the DVD need to be converted to (say) .AVI then reduced in size to fit the CD. You lose resolution, only then good for viewing in small window!

I download films from Usenet all the time. Most are ripped from DVD but are compressed with DIVX to AVI format. The DVD player on my TV can read DIVX disks and they look surprisingly good, not exactly as good as a 9-gig DVD but almost as good.

So I know it can be done even if I don't know how to do it myself. 8^< But there's an article here on converting from DVD to DIVX

if the movie doenst have a piracy code on it

just use nero nd select the out put size 2 700mb

well i use nero and i just go to nero express and export it to a file, but dvdfab i would imagine u just go to file or somewhere and go to export and do it from there, wat u are looking for is avi or export, hope i didnt insult u but ive never used dvdfab nero 6.6 all da way (cracked)

wtf how could i forget use dvd shrink and set it to 700 mb, also u can shrink nethign from a disk or from the hdd copyrigted or not
