Absoultely. Yes. I've heard Plenty of great rap.....just not anything very recent.

edit*

That wasn't bad at all. I liked it. I love when artists try to make a social statement (like this one).
Loved the old school synthesizer sound. Very 70s vibe w/ them. :)

Would you consider listening to a rock tune? :)

Yes. I wouldn't say i listen to it regularly but i listen to older rap from time to time. I like Tupac and A Tribe Called Quest [or are they more hip-hop?] and a few others.

I went into the Rap and Hip-Hop section a while back [2 months ago?] and asked for what the people in the section felt was an accurate representation of what rap really is, rather than the commercialised crap. [Because a lot of the time people judge Rock based on the bands that are really popular - which are often the bands that receive the least respect within the Rock "community" eg. Fall Out Boy and other such bands.]
I got recommended some good stuff.

Although i cannot stand a lot of the recent rap to be honest - either i haven't heard the good stuff - or the quality of rap has declined over the years.

edit; ok i really need to stop rambling, lol

**** yeah I listen to rap, just nothing on the radio, rap and Punk/indie go hand and hand, not together (rap metal sucks) but as two halves of a whole, plus it takes real talent to rap well,
Sage Francis and Immortal Technique are both insane
Its all the popular Soulja Boy, Lil Jon **** thats givin rap a bad...well..rap
if you get high then you like rap

as far as rock goes, im not crazy about screamin either, it just means you cant sing,
you might like Megadeth, they're heavy without screaming try "She Wolf" "Almost Honest" "Use the Man"
NOFX have an almost rap quality to their songs, short and sweet as they are, "USA-holes" "Soul Doubt" "Eat the Meek" are some good ones,

Yeah i was into rap for a few years before i starting liking rock again. I used to listen to 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G, Nas, Jay-Z, Eminem, The Game, Dr Dre, N.W.A, Snoop, Rakim and a few others. I still listen to some from time to time, but not as much as i used to

Edit: Oh yeah i listened to Common, Ice Cube and Dead Prez too. I had the Beef dvd as well. That was great

I think everyone is this section can agree that we all love old school rap

I would consider it. I enjoy Tupac, Ludacris, and Hollywood Undead. Would you consider listening to a Hardcore song?

Edit: For some reason it won't let me post a link..so..yeah.

I love Common.....he's one of the only *newer* rappers (since I listen to mostly 80s rap) that I consistantly listen to and enjoy.
