>>The rooms are spacious<< The ROH rooms at NY NY are small even by LV standards

You have to be careful NOT to get a room that has their roller coaster zooming by your room every 5 minutes. The "Manhattan Express" is pretty loud.

The casino is small, but the way it's set up I like the feel of it anyway.

NY NY has a nice location.

If you're getting a really good price, NY NY would be a good deal. You might want to compare rates with these hotels
MGM
Paris
Luxor
Mirage
Planet Hollywood
Treasure Island
Monte Carlo

Very nice. I stayed there a few years ago. The casino is decorated to look like central park. The rooms are spacious, we went for a jacuzzi suite and it was very good value. Ask for a room high up so you get great views across vegas. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves, but as long as you are on the main strip it does not really matter where you stay (avoid circus, circus though- really seedy part of the strip) as you won't spend much time in your room! Look on tripadvisor.com to compare different hotels. Hope this helps!

As far as the major strip hotels go, it's average at best. That is, it's simply not in the same class as the Wynn, Bellagio, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, Venetian, etc. However, it's much better than places like Circus Circus, Tropicana, Riviera, Sahara, etc. I'd put it at about the same level as the Luxor, although I haven't been to the Luxor since they started remodeling it. The NYNY pool is below average as far as Vegas pools go, although this time of year, that probably doesn't matter to you.

I stayed there in September and I wasn't really impressed. The rooms were decent. The casino was so damn confusing to get around ( Most of them are) but I really had a tough time finding my way around. The Steakhouse (Gallaghers's) is good though. Just not that great compared to others on the strip. i will never stay there again.

You can find better options than NYNY

NY NY is a very small but nice casino, well located to other casinos. There is NO buffet but some nice bistros and restaurants. You are within walking distance to Tropicana, MGM, Monte Carlo, Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
