When did your baby first start talking... or at least what and was there first word?

said hi since she was 6 months and now at 8 months says dada and daddy and even hi dada

My first one was saying sentances when she was one.
The second one was still not saying much when she was 2.
I think her first word other than mama or dada was candy (nanny) we were at a parade and they were throwing out candy.

babies first works are usually dad or mum.....apparently when i was little my first word was dad and i was about 6 months old! but babies all develop at different stages...my cousin didnt start talking til he was 1 and half and now he is the cleverest little 2 year old i know...he says sentances like 'im watching football' and 'blow the whistle please mummy'

"Mama" at 7 months, "banana" at 10 months, short sentences and about a dozen signs at 1 year.
