Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Resistance: Fall of Man
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Call of Duty 4
Assassin's Creed (most of the reviewers love the game, but gamers seem to think the game is mediocre)
Heavenly Sword (short game but a great game).

What I would think for the best games available now, in December 2007, would be the best looking game, called "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune". Many more games that are good are "Assasin's Creed", and "Call of Duty 4". Those games would be the best for the holiday season.

I can only personally vouch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but very good looking games that are coming are Haze, Metal Gear Solid 4 (MGS4) and obvs GTA IV
