Seriously. I am popular, with my friends. And I am not just saying that. We are on AIM everyday, and people talk to us, but at school, you can always hear the whispers. I am not stuck up or anything, so what is it people. Are you just haters who are trying to make yourselves pretty? Or what? I need answers. I am not prissy, I play sports, MVP for tons of things, so what gives??? Tell all.

I wonder the same thing. In books they call them "the populars". I think that's so wierd! It's just because they're jealous of our coolness.

No. You answered your own question though...With the word "people". People are just being people. What happens when a celebrity walks into a store? Other non-celebrity people whisper and talk.
This is a pathetic question that you have to actually assume the people who are talking about you are trying to make themselves pretty, as you said. That actually doesn't make any sense because that's not how someone makes themselves pretty. And to even ask this, just what does it have to do with Fashion? Maybe you should ask this in the Society or Teens category. You're probably a very active and social person in your school so everyone probably knows a certain degree about you, expect the whispers, it's all part of being in the popular crowd, and nothing more than that.

i am not popular and this is the answer 2 your question. in mi skool the populars r always talking trash bout the normals. they always exclude people.not tryng to be all 1st grade but its not the funnest thing in the world to be excluded. if u r stuck up or whatever u r asking 4 it but in your case u sound like a nice person. 2 put it in your perspective say there is a girl who is perfect at everything. isnt it annoying no matter how hard u try they r always better then u? well this is how it is in mi eyes. say i am wearing an outfit that i think is really cute. i just bought it on the weekend. at skool a couple people come up 2 me and say that it is a really cute outfit. the next week a popular wears the same t shirt. everyone is complimenting that person. that is wat happens 2 the normals. did i answer your question? u r probably a really nice person but u dont even realize the little things that bug people.

Some people think popular girls are mean, or maybe you are mean and you just don't know it. I personally think it depends on the person, not what "social class" they are in. There is a super popular clique in my grade called "the six" and they are all mostly mean because they are too clique-y and care way too much about boys. Then there are the popular girls outside of the six who I used to be best friends with. They got mean to me, but are still way nicer than the six. Usually the popular people are also the ones that cause drama and are the most outgoing, funny, pretty, or athletic. Maybe you just give people things to talk about!

Your description of yourself comes off very conceited. Just because people talk to you on AIM doesn't mean jack. I think you need to get your nose out of the air and realize you are everyone's equal. Popular is a state of mind, not a state of being.

you probobly dont know it but you are probobly not the nicest to kids that arent in your social status like when ur eating lunch with all of YOUR friends which im guessing are popular to if some new girl comes along that isnt popular and doesnt dress "cool" are you nice or mean so just check up on that!! have a nice day.

its because popular people have it EASY. you get special advantages others wouldnt.
there are guys out there in high school that rape girls and get away with it just because their on the football team. often girls wouldnt be popular unless their "hot" or at least friends with "popular" people, i garuntee you if you got in some sort of accident and your face got disfigured, 19/20 of your "friends" would dump your ***.
most popular people are stuck up because their used to everything being handed to them and having people see them as royalty..did i mention you actualy get to have social lives? think of the outcasts that you never/barely talk to, or might have pre-judged. they have completely different situations, at school AND at home. when does everyone love and understand them?
+alot of them are two-faced. their all sweet and kind to dad and the teachers but bitches and assholes to anyone of "lower standards" than them. you might be nice, or you may seem nice(internet persona), but if your "popular" as you say than you need to have some problems. and does it really mattter compared to other hated kids? at least society accepts you and the way you dress and act. nerds get beaten by jocks often, take that into consideration before you ask why your hated...
marilyn manson mentioned in some video i saw he had(violence i think) where this kid who dressed punk-rock ish got ran over by some drunk football player in a car accident.when the judge convicted the guy, he was proven innocent because the jduge didnt like the way the victim dressed. and the football player got clapped for at graduation for being a football player.

some people are just jelous. but if you gossip, exclude people, are cliquey, belittle others, have to have the lastest and most expensive stuff and are mean to poeple who don't have it, then people will not like you and for a good reason.
also, dont make the generalazation "you" (you haters, make yourselves pretty) those sentences (and this question kinda make you sound a little bitchy, but thats just my opinion.

they are jelous the only time people should hate popular people is if they think they are better then everyone else and brag all the time(hey sounds like you!) I'm popular but I dont EVER brag or say oh ya im always on AIM i am an MVP for eveything I do blah blah blah.....so mabye if you stopped being so concieted not everyone would hate you! Good day!
