It's testosterone overload. I think when men act macho it is to make up for their shortcomings. A bull doesn't have to snort and paw the ground to prove he is a bull.

It definitley depends on the guy, I think some guys try to act really macho to cover insecurity, and some are just that way because that's how the guys they grew up around were. Alot of it is hormones, but there are lots of guys who are more laid back and intellectual and don't act "macho", it just depends on the individual and the kind of life they have had.

Not all men are macho, but every men has their way of macho attitude. Macho attitude is a part of men's confident level. i think nothing wrong with it, but no one is tough, every one have their weakness.

men like to think macho because that make them look and think manly. it something that makes us look different form women. Its in our genetics and we cannot help it.
