You're showing your age. Reading books is what we did when we were in school and things like Yahoo! Answers did not exist.

It's a new way of learning, although I'm not sure it's worth the effort to ask the question and then weed through all the replies, hoping to get a correct answer.

Just be glad this isn't like so many of the other categories where you'd see a question like "Who Else Likes Molecules?" At least these questions require smart answers.

If this hump mutation replaced into advantageous interior the ambience the animal replaced into residing in then that animal might have had a survival benefit over the animals that did no longer have the hump. that's the way organic decision works. people who're greater constructive proper can out compete the competition and win. you will possibly desire to bear in mind that whale did no longer merely arise sometime come to a decision to swim off into the sea there replaced right into a transitional era. The sequence of animals that could finally deliver approximately whales might have lived lives fairly comparable to the hippopotamus we've immediately. possibly given sufficient time to evolve the hippos linage will deliver approximately a distinctive sea mammal.

Biology actually requires some research. That's a part of Yahoo answers I hate - it's Homework HELP not "do my homework for me". It's sad aswell because people always answer (points?), so these kids are going to go through life not ever working things out for themselves and will get nowhere. Bit harsh, but it's true. Same with the maths section I think you'll find, it's all questions like "factorise these equations.." DO IT YOURSELF!!
Ugghhh makes me angry!

Because the invent of the Internet means that people are getting lazy. Not only can we shop online, we can bet online, watch tv online - the possibilities are endless!

Which leads me to believe that in 50 years the Human race will be divided into 2 groups, the purists who go to the gym and exercise and the geeks who havae become a shell of their former selves. Without direct sunlight they have superior nightvision but their skin is mottled white. They feed on ready meals.

Yes it is sad. Not only are today's kids fat, but they are lazy.

The thing to do of course is either not answer the homework questions or help them. Help means guiding the person to do their own work. This I have done many times.

What is worse than the kids attempting to get someone to do their homework is that person that does do their homework. And for what? A few points. Pretty sad.

Another thing that bothers me. Surely the teachers know these students are not doing their own work. Kinda makes you wonder if they care?

You have a point, but that would eliminate at least half of the questions on YA in all categories. I'm sure there are people somewhere pondering the great questions in biology, but I don't think they'll look here for answers.

The lazy boppers want to sit and play computer games all night instead of doing their homework. It's a big problem and it is getting worse.
