I'm sorry, which Republican "debate" did you watch? Because the one I saw started with a five minute song, and then 10 minutes of Romney and Giuliani bickering over who's softer on illegal immigrants. There was a gay general who got edited out because he also works on the Hillary campaign (God forbid the Republican candidates would have to answer a question from the other half of America). Then they asked Ron Paul if he was actually as crazy as his internet following...
Definitive answers?
But I've been doing a lot of research lately, and Obama has the most thorough positions posted on his campaign site- click the issues link and grab a cup of coffee, it'll take a few minutes. Where other candidates settled for bullet point lists, he goes into depth. I like most, but not all, of his policies- but if I wanted everything my way I should just run for office.
But I'm not sworn to party lines. Pray tell, proudly registered Democrat, which Republican are you currently rooting for after the debates, and why?

I have to wonder what debate you watched. When I saw the most recent Repub debate, my response was that the candidates were eager to answer questions, but it was very rare that they would answer the question asked. Democrats aren't necessarily that different.
Also, one thing that is very striking about the Republicans is that they have a set of simplistic programmed responses (get tough on foreign policy, cut taxes, small government, deregulate) that don't particularly represent sound policy ideas or even what they actually believe, but give them a built in response for almost any question.

The Democrats have an identity crisis. They are afraid of offending someone because they are the party of moral relativism. Everything is okay. Obama has some ideas about how to create a party that actually stands for something and not just against the Republicans. Watch some of his speeches at his website under "Issues".

because most of their questions are planted and rehearsed.
Just like the Clinton News Network that planted a gay general into the republican debate asking a totally irrelevant question relating to current issues. Proof is in the pudding.

They don't have any answers, they are sandbagging. I would like to ask them the following questions and make them answer them right then and there:
1. All these new programs your talking about, health care, child care, etc, WHO is going to pay for it???
2. What will you do to fix social security and how long will it take?
3. What is your plan for dealing with illegal immigration and so called "sanctuary Cities?"
4. If you do not succeed in question 2 and 3, would you be willing to resign?
No body has all the answers, but in order to judge who is best for a job, we need straight answers and not campaign rhetoric.
