I went to crank the bike last week and dead battry. So I charged. now all i get is it will turn over alot then every now and then try to start up but it wont. Know enough about motors to fix but not sure where to begin with this problem. Any suggestions or links will be greatly appreciated.

does it have gas. lol just make sure.well check the plugs/wires. clean the carb. dirty jets will rob you of fuel... lastly check the starter.....you know check the obvious first.

The peck cock is a good place to start and also there might be a primer plunger looking thing that primes the carbs. Also try putting a jump charger on while crancking it just might need a couple more amps of power. If by chance that the fuel has lost its Juice try a bottle of boost or a gal of 110 octane fuel to give it a little extra.Make sure the stand is up and the bike is in Neutral. You might pull a plug and check for spark.

If its carbureted, is the petcock in the "on" position? Did any wires get unplugged? Take the air filter(s) off and spray some easy start, carb cleaner, or even gasoline in a spray bottle to make sure your getting fuel.

It still may be the battery. It may turn the engine over but not give it enough punch to fire it. try a jump, also spray starting fluid in the carb's, If theres spark it will fire up.
