Hi Hot, Just for one? Peel 2 medium size potatoes and slice each potatoe into 3 slices and them cut into small size cubes and them slice up some onion and cut into small thin little cubes and fry in real butter. Cook with the lid on and flip the potatoes every so often until they are soft and ready to eat.
Believe me you will Love fry potatoes with onion. They are to died for. Lol I hope you do try them.

Potatoes Au Gratin
5 large Russets or 8 - 10 medium
1 medium onion, chopped
1 lb. cheddar cheese
1/4 to 1/2 cup butter
2 1/2 cups milk
Salt and Pepper
* Slice potatoes very thinly and alternate layers of potato, onion and cheddar cheese.
* Halfway through add salt and pepper and again on the top.
* Top with pieces of butter.
* Pour milk over the top.
* Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or until potato is very tender.
* Stir after 20 minutes and then every 30 minutes.

Cubed, baked in the oven, after cooked, add Ranch dressing shredded cheese, and bacon bits, stick back in oven until cheese melts....it is really good.

I wash and cut red bliss potatoes.
Boil them until cooked.
Drain and let cool for a few minutes.
Put in a mixing bowl with butter and start mashing. I then add half-n-half while mashing.
I mix in fresh ground pepper and fresh crushed garlic.
YUMMY!!!!

Me and my family love just about any kind of potatoes, but our favorite is good old fashioned mash potatoes with milk, pepper, salt and lots of butter. (I know...sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen, but it sure is good). LOL

I am from Idaho so I know lots about taters. My brother calls himself tater head.
You remind me of Forrest Gumps friend Bubba with his shrimp.
