definately as it will help him a little if you have qv oil or alpha kerri oil these are a great thing to put in the bath, or make an extremely weak salt bath, a quater of a cup of salt in half a tub of water.

Yes, still give your baby a bath because you want to wash off any acid that can be causing the rash. However, don't use too hot of water and after the bath, let your baby have some naked time so his bum will be completely dry before putting on a diaper. Usually 10-15 minutes is good. Try nursery gel or vaseline for the diaper rash. That always worked better for my daughter than Balmex and use pure cornstarch baby powder too. Good luck!

Of course, Just make sure you dry his bottom really good, in all the rolls =) and keep up with the balmex. Some babies do fine with rashes, but they do irritate them. Try laying him on the floor, or where ever with his diaper under him (just in case!) but not on so the air can get to it, that really helps it heal if you do that as much as possible. Keep it really dry and then apply baby powder a few days after its gone to make sure it doesnt come back right away.

Yes, he still needs a bath, just be very gentil because it does hurt and burn their bottom. Wipe it gently with just water then put more balmex when you put his diaper back on. Maybe let him go a while with no diaper (if you dare) this will let the air get to it and help it heal. Good luck.

Yes, give him a bath - in fact, if you dissolve some baking soda in the water, it can help relieve some of the irritation.

After baby's out and well dried, put a good layer of the zinc oxide cream on...if Balmex doesn't work well, try Desitin - that's my favourite.

is it a rsash or a fungal infection?

if it is an actual rash I don't know ....

if it is a bloody raw scrape looking thing in the fold of the skingo purchase some anti fungal creme like Lotriman AF or the generic version at wlmart and it should clear up in 12 hours after applying the anti fungal creme and either way I would NOT bathe the baby .....

A bath would help the rash! I always leave my little guy in the tub a bit longer to play, then after I dry him and apply corn starch, it works wonders!

These are all great suggestions but air is VERY helpful with a diaper rash. Take that diaper off and let him roll around on a big towel or something. :)

If u'd been using an identical diaper its probable no longer diaper hypersensitive reaction. i think of u shld attempt bathing him with a diluted infant shampoo to work out if the cleansing soap is only too harsh for him. For my 9month previous i take advantage of a drop of Johnsons infant shampoo in lavender and coconut oil rather of losion. circumvent using too many diverse products and supply his pores and skin time to get well. good success.
