It had an alarm when I got it but it was added on, not made by acura. I lost the remote 2 years ago and never used the alarm since. The switch was off, and I had no problems. Suddenly 2 nights ago somebody borrowed the car and the motor wouldn't start. it does not turn over just sort of makes a clicking sound and when I take out the key the alarm goes off, even if the switch is off! what should I do?

There is not a whole lot you can do with the exception of disabling the alarm system. It can be a bit of an undertaking, so you may well end up paying someone to do it for you.

Sounds like a bad battery or a starter. I would try to jump start the car. The fact that the alarm is going off really points to a bad battery. Alarms tend to go off when the battery is low for some odd reason.

You can get new remotes and have them programed at any good stereo shop for 25 dollar or so, depending on the alarm. It may have to be ordered.
