custodial parent? so far its been 4 months since they 1st went to the doctor - and they have gone many times since.

In most cases/states you have 30 days from the date you receive the bill.

As soon as they receive a ill, they are supposed to send it to you. As you are the responsible party, you should be able to call the doctor and get the itemized bill. If you were supposed to file on insurance, I would get that parent because you only have 60 days to file or they won't pay.
