How can i watch tv on my laptop, i just moved to a college residence where i dont have a Tv, and I heard theres a way to watch some tv on the computer, how does that work

1) Buy a TV tuner, they come in USB versions
2) Look for streaming TV stations, but most likely they are from some European countries speaking tongues you don't "get".
3) View shows off the net after they are aired using CBS InnerTube or similar service.
4) Download shows via *ahem* can't say any more.

I have a Dell inspiron as well, but encountered similar problem with games. Check if the video card is not overheating, you can download the temperature monitor tool. Anything over 55 C degrees for the video card will cause sluggish computer. If not, try a different TV tuner, or check your reception
