They will feel a lot of inner conflict until the day they secretly accept it just for themselves and then in time try to let their feelings go, without the person they have feelings for ever knowing...and that will lead to a lot of regret and a poignant kind of sadness thats hard to let go of...

eventually the person you like is unavailable which could make you regret it even more! its better to be honest because the feelings u have, the other person could have too.
