My school is holding auditions for the show "On The Town' tomorrow and Wednesday. I want to choose a jazzy or brassy song that fits my voice and would at the same be good to cast for the show..any suggestions?...Thanks so much in advance

Hmmm, your age makes finding something jazzy hard. So what if we toss age out the window and go with jazzy? Since it's a school audition I think it's perfectly ok to do that.

One Hundred Easy Ways - Wonderful Town
Basically anything Cole Porter will probably work, like:
DeLovely, I Get A Kick Out Of You, Anything Goes, You're The Top - All from Anything Goes
Maybe something from Chicago - Roxie or All That Jazz

Also, 1-2 days is not much time to prepare. You should start building a repertoire of songs that you practice regularly so that you can just pull one out when you need to and you'll always be ready.

good luck,
Marianne

Sing what you experience spectacular singing. have faith me, there is not any longer something worse walking in to an audition or examination thinking 'omg what correct to the severe notes!' a pair of information, attempt sing from reminiscence, yet do no longer in case you think of you are able to no longer! attempt some songs from musicals, there super given which you are able to relatively deliver out a character on your singing, its a actual crowd pleaser, fairly songs from 'depraved'

If I were a Bell from Guys and Dolls can be killer if you do it right, same with My New Philosiphy from You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
