Yes I had this problem, Get some hooks (like the new ones advertised that you stick n and then peel off with no mess). Put the hooks on either side of the window two near the top (and two near the bottom if its a sloping window). Now buy a nice towel that matches you bathroom and is thick enough to cut out the light. Now buy a piece of thin dowling (wooden or metal). Stick the towel over the dowling with the dowling sticking out both ends. Hang the dowling over the two hooks. If its a sloping velux then buy a piece of elastic and link it between the two bottom hooks and tuck your towel in behind it. Hope this helps and good luck

Hi - Go to Halfords and buy some tinted window film which people put on cars... Is reasonably cheap and is not permanent, also, it will look neat and tidy, as you cut it to fit! I have done this at work, it's not permanent, but looks good and does the job.
Hope you find this helpful.

Hardware stores sell insulating foil. It's like small bubble wrap with foil on both sides. Cut it to fit window and it's stiff enough that it will stand in your window by itself. No tape or hooks. When you take it out, you roll it up and stick it in your closet.

I have an old Garfield with suckers on its paws from the 80s, works wonders in keeping out the light.

Get a cling like they use in cars for babies... they have no adhesive and they are fairly inexpensive... It would stick to the window by static and come off quickly and clean...

You can purchase a paper blind, it is temporary, and you can find them at Wal Mart. They are not very expensive, and they look nice. They are easy to install, and they are temporary.

Go to IKEA, buy cheap black out blind ( cheapest place I found) use removeable hooks and cut blind down to size and use eyelets to hook into place.

I would suggest black poster boards, they are relatively cheap, and you could just tape them up.
