Or have been blocked by a user? I have never blocked anyone nor do I believe I've ever been blocked (if I have I haven't come across it...)
What does this accomplish?

Yes, and you're wrong when you said you'd never been blocked. I mistakenly blocked you once but I removed it when I realized I was wrong in doing so. Yes I have others blocked but these are people I think are some of the trolls that are getting people's ID deleted all of the time but the are few and far between.

Its just nonsense that the extreme opposites do to each other. I've been blocked a couple of times for offending the "great white soccer mom". I think they believe they are doing the right thing. Others just can't come up with a reasonable thought because their party hasn't told them what to think yet. So they just get miffed and block away.

I've never blocked anybody.
In theory, blocking is supposed to protect against abuse and over use of the report button. In theory. But I've never blocked anybody and I only got one violation ever.

yup, been blocked by a few.
It serves the purpose of people being able to imply a comment that is untrue, and not have anyone but their choir to answer the question.
in some cases blocking an annoying foul-mouthed troll is called for.

I've blocked anyone that blocked me first. I also blocked one guy who kept making light of the death of Coranth, the YA politics guru.

I've blocked a few, who started sending me spam emails about other websites. And I've been blocked by several trolls, which I don't actually mind.

i block for an identical motives as you, or if i do in comparison to there avatar or call!...don't be disillusioned, that's recommended to be grateful reason considering the fact that they blocked you, they even have beans for brains! they do no longer understand what a stable individual they are lacking out on in there existence!~?~

No. I try to not really make enemies... just pointless jabs at no one in particular along party lines. And then do a little debating for the fun of it.
I have been reported a time or two though, even a time or two when it wasn't really deserved.

At one time I blocked somebody who blocked me first.
Then I grew up, became an adult, and realized that everyone has their own opinion, whether I like it or not.
