How long does it take the brown stuff on your first period, to turn into red blood? Because i had some brown stuff in there and i put on a pad. This is the first time ever ive had my period.
Also, how can i tell my mom i got it!!

It can take a couple of days for the blood to go from brown to red (the red indicates new blood).
As for how to tell your mom, let her know that you need to talk to her about something in private and then when you get to the private area let her know that you started your period and the day you started.

When I had my first period it was only that, brown spotting. It wasn't until the next month I had red blood and the flow was much heavier than the first time (although not too bad).
Your mom is a woman and well aware that this is going to happen to her daughter sooner or later. Wait until you can be alone with her and just let her know you started your period. She would be a good resource for your questions as well.

If its your first period, then maybe a couple of days. But now that my periods are regular, it takes only a few hours or one day before it becomes regular blood.
Telling your mom that your period came to see you might be a little akward but you'll be fine. You can either tell her directly, you know like, "Mom i got my period." Or you can tell her that you're in need of some pads or "feminine products." Just don't worry to much about telling her. Just let her know, and make sure that you know how to take care of yourself.

There is nothing abnormal about it. It could take a day or so. As to how to tell your mom about it, it is not like confessing something wrong that you did. All women get it. Based on how old you are, (some get it around 13, some 15 or older), maybe she has been expecting you to tell her for a while. She can't be mad at you or anything like that.

it probably takes 1-2 days(1 with me).
Go 2 ur mom & tell her she will b happy cuz ur a young lady now!!

just tell your mom when siblings aren't around. just tell her "i have it" she can help you. she went thru the sameeee thing.
