It depends,it can be very dangerous an awful lot of sinkings over the Years. What with all the Rules and Regulations, and diminishing returns. Huge Boats going out Trawling up everything on the Seabed, less and less Fish. They say that all the Cod is now staying around Iceland because of global warming. Huge Foreign Fleets catching all the Fish and breaking the EU rules on the Q T namely the Spanish. It is a hard life, but I am sure you enjoy it all the same. In future all the Fish probably will be Produced in Fish Farms, instead of Conventional Fishing.

Well Fishing can be dangerous especially off the coast of Ireland as you well no theres been a lot of deaths the last couple of years

But do you really love your job or do you think you could be happy doing something else if so then go for it

If it doesn't work out you can always go back to fishing

It depends, if you are seasick or too tired of waiting for fish, you might want to give it up. If you didnt pass college, try it so you can get a cooler job. If you love the sea and enjoy it, you might want fishing. It is very hard picking a job.....

Are you serious! Im not sure if you are taking the piss or not?

Funny answer: Go find some fish in International waters
Serious: Its probably in your blood, the fresh air, the risks, the thrill of a catch or even the letdown of a catch.

Whats normal?

And if it's what you know and you are happy with then stay where you are although you could always retrain to work on the supply boats serving the oil rigs out in the North Sea.

I am not sure. It sounds like something you really like to do. But I I will tell you this I drove a motorcycle for years and when all my friends had been in an accident I quit riding because I knew I would be next. Something to think about. Be safe.
Love, honey.

If you like what you do, then why give it up? Nothing wrong with fishing for a living. =)
