Algebra 1 help...?
What is the range of the given relation?
[(2,2), (3,2), (2,3), (1,4)]

I don't understand what the question is asking...I don't know what a relation is. I do know about x and y values, though. Thanks in advance!

Range asks for what the y values can be. In this case, the y values are 2, 2, 3, 4, so the Range is...

{2<=y<=4, y element of Natural Numbers}

A relation is a mapping from the first values (domain) to the second values (range).

You have:
X ... Y
2 .|. 2
3 .|. 2
2 .|. 3
1 .|. 4

Everything in the first column is the domain {1, 2, 3}
Everything in the second column is the range {2, 3, 4}

Range is the y-values for that set, so it would be
{2,3,4}
Domain are the x values for that set. so it would be
{1,2,3}
