An 85 kg fisherman jumps from a dock into a 135 kg rowboat at rest on the west side of the dock. If the velocity of the fisherman is 4.3 m/s to the west as he leaves the dock, what is the final velocity of the fisherman and the boat.

A dry cleaner throws a 22 kg bag of laundry onto a stationary 9 kg cart. The cart and laundry bag begin moving at 3 m/s to the right. Find the velocity of the laundry bag before the collision.

1. Conservation of momentum, inelastic collision

m1v1=(m1+m2)v2
v2= v1 m1/(m1+m2)
v2= 4.3 x 85 /(85 + 135)=
v2=1.7 m/s

2. Similar to the first problem except it is v1 needs to found.

v1= v2(m2+m1)/m1
v1= 3 ( 22 + 9)/22=4.2 m/s

so ap physics is only truly stressful, and as continually relies upon on the instructor as properly (is he/she a stable instructor? plenty or little artwork, etc...) additionally relies upon on what else you're taking once you're taking ap physics, if the different instructions are not stressful and you will concentration on the class, then it relies upon and it relies upon on you, and how the undertaking is for you, and how stressful you elect to artwork at it sorry if this does not help, yet there are various factors...
